Yunita Manfrin

4 - 30 April 2020

The Art of Assistance is a collection of artworks celebrating International Guide Dog Day by local artist Yunita Manfrin.

The work in this exhibition has been created over the last twelve months and developed out of an idea to express the dedication a guide dog gives its owner and family.

Each of these works are heartfelt insights highlighting the most precious gift of sight through the assistance of a dog named Bree. Bree joined Yunita’s family in 2018 and became her husbands’ loyal companion and eyes so he could still be independent and part of the local community.

Through the use of whimsical colour combinations and a variety of mixed media, Yunita has created works that reflect the true nature of this beautiful dog, and the endless supply of love she bestows on her family.
